20" Stormer + Cooper LTZ *** Spare ***

Does anyone know if a 20" Stormer + Cooper LTZ will fit in the spare wheel area.
I'm planning on buying a used/new alloy + tyre and buying an anti theft cover from uncle ray.
Thought i would better check on here first Razz

Or has anyone got a Genuine Stormer alloy they want to sell Whistle

I have a 20" D4 HSE with a Cooper LTZ 285/50/20 slung underneath, it's a very snug fit even when the tyre is deflated. You will be alright with a 275/45/20 I think.

I've had 265/50x20, 275/45x20 and 295/45x20's in the spare bay, all fully inflated. Not LTZ's though, which have a chunkier tread, but normal road tyres.

You won't have an issue with a 275/45 LTZ/Stormer slung underneath, it'll just hang slightly lower because of the exra width.
I've personally never felt the need to have an LTZ as a spare, in all the years running them I've never had a puncture [until tomorrow Rolling Eyes ].
Key point is to dump the spacesaver and get a decent full sized spare [unless your doing a lot of off-road stuff].
As a spare, I''ve got a 19" rim with standard road tyre.
In the event of a puncture it would only be to get me out of trouble until the LTZ gets imediately repaired.
...... always on the road less travelled 🚧

I have Cooper LTZ 285/60/18's and have had to fully deflate the spare........as well as remove the heat shield to fit it up underneath.
I do carry a portable compressor just in case I need the spare.

The 19" spare would get you out of trouble, but you wouldn't want to drive on it for too long.

Cheers, Craig

Think I'll do the same as you ronp I've still got my original 19" alloys all with new tyres so I'll use one of them.
Anythings got to be better than the space saver
