I have changed the sign up at the top so you can place your names into whichever rope length you want. If you want both then leave your names where they are I have opted for 5m and 9m, however if you are not happy with these lengths then pm me your specific requirements.

Both for me please. I've already got an 8M strop and shackles, but as mentioned the Mantec plate is a bit restrictive although they do still fit.

Can anyone tell me,if the hook was attached to the rear towing atttachment, would it foul or damage plastic LR towing electrics sockets either side of it,when in use? Thanks anyone,in anticipation.

Can someone post a pic or link so I can get an idea of what the hook looks like?
Is it a bare hook? does it have a "safety" gate on it?
Cheers

Yes the rope will attach to the recovery point at the rear of the car, we have suffered no damage.

Curious too about the self recovery!
This is a great trick if you find yourself in a wood with deep tracks and lets say there is a turn you want to take but you cant get out of the track you are in.
Drive 2-3m past the turn you want to take. Attach the rope to the front of the car, then attach the other end of the rope to something that 1) wont move 2) is located say 2-3m to the side of the place you want to get out of and in the direction you want to go. Then drive backwards and, as the rope pulls tight the front of the car will swing out of the ruts. Now do the same with the rear of the car and hey presto you are out of the ruts. What happens next is entirely up to you and the circumstances you are in.
