brand new Pirelli Scorpion ATRs fitted today
Hello fellow owners. After much research on this forum and even more procrastination, bit the bullet and purchased £720.00 worth of scorpion ATRs. Nearly lured towards cheaper brands but resisted !! Couldn't be happier, look good, handling more assured than zeros (taken off) and looking forward to 40000 miles of fun. mpg now showing 19.2 as opposed to 21.2 on old ones. Will take advice and lift pressures slightly. Thank-you all for this wonderful font of information. HughDiscovery 3 HSE 55 plate Buckingham Blue with Alpacha

You could well get nearer to 50k miles out of them. In some parts of the world they come with a 50,000 mile Warranty (conditional). Typically not in the UK though
One reason why cheaper alternatives might not be such good value in the long run.

Thanks guys, gives me confidence buying these expensive products with the knowledge offered on this forum. DrLex perhaps I was testing traction during the first few miles. Only thrashing around the lanes in the interest of research as you might expect !!!
Now settled down drove fifty gentle miles at approx 60 mph today up to 24.6 mpg
Thanks again guysDiscovery 3 HSE 55 plate Buckingham Blue with Alpacha

new pirelli atrs
255 55 19 spent ages trying to get a deal. Eventually found for £180 a corner fitted. Not the best time to barter for these things when there is snow on the ground !! HughDiscovery 3 HSE 55 plate Buckingham Blue with Alpacha

The 255/60/18 ATR's are from memory 112H XL.
I'm currently running these as are many others.
H is rated to 130mph and V to 149mph. The ATR's are XL
XL stands for Extra Load – or is sometimes referred to as Reinforced. Essentially, tyres bearing this stamp are designed for heavy cars rather than ones that carry big loads. Not only are they constructed to cope with weight, but also the higher tyre pressure these vehicles need to run at.
Check with your insurance company if you have any concerns

At least the 18" ATR's should be around for a while.
Unlike the 19"

Quick answer is; NO VAT, NO INVOICE, NO COMEBACK, Pirelli UK are at this time looking into this seller and will no doubt be contacting HMRC.
As these could well be entering the country through a non official channel.
Or someone is simpley nicking them ?
I can't even buy these tyres at near that money no matter what quantity I wanted !
Anyone purchasing these tyres do so at there own risk as E-Bay leaves a paper trail as bright as Haleys Comet.
I am always happy to compete on a level playing field but this is not.
