So what is the risk of buying these tyres if they have a paper trail. You seem to be saying the seller isn't paying tax on the profits, or VAT (presuming he/she is selling sufficient) none of which is of concern to the purchaser is it? The only concern to a purchaser is are they are what they say they are and does the purchaser have legal title to them. Buying anything from anyone on ebay is caveat emptor. My supplier is a friend who moves alot of alloys but not huge quantities of tyres. He tells me that he made £10 per tyre on my £180 purchase. Also that he often gets phone calls offering him 2 or 3 hundred cheap tyres for cash, ,which he refuses. On balance i prefer to buy from a place and person that I can trust, especially tyres brakes or anything safety related. My family are worth more than a couple of hundred quid.
