The discerning choice.
Waiting for the usual AT rabble to turn up & disagree though.

I love the look of Goodyear MTR's but think they are a bit too off road biased for normal day to day stuff, might have to get a second set of wheels for them
No ATR's look really good and will happily put them on for everyday use2023 Ineos Grenadier 3.0 Diesel Commercial

I sold my stack of MTRs 12 months ago as just didn't need them. Also sold my minor stockpile of 17" Contis as ATRs did everything I needed.
Q that pic.

Not the garage, that's the dining room. Now have the 5 wheels with ATRs on/under the D3 & 4 more, 2 on rims.

Hello from sunny SA!
I came by this by chance, and thought I must comment. I fitted the same Pirelli ATR's to my TDV6 SE, and yes, there is an increase in overall consumption from the standard Goodyear 'fastgrips'. I am a freelance motor journo, and spoke to some of the Pirreli reps here and one did say that there isabout a 5 to 8% increase, but more durable and much better mileage from my expeirence. Over long distances, I must say that fuel consuption has been bette than avg... (8.7L/100km, or 27 MPG). We also spend many many hours in Lesotho and Mozambique, and to date the Pirelli set has proven better, and has also got me out of more trouble than the Goodyears did. I have done 30000km with about half life still remaining on the set aswell where previously I would start shopping at the 35000km mark.
Overall I am very happy with them and will replace with the same when the time comes.
Enjoy...Previously Freelander II
Previously '08 Disco 3 TDV6 SE
Previously '10 Disco4 TDV / SDV6 HSE
Now: '12 Freelander II SD4 HSE -
Now '11 Disco4 V8 HSE
Moved from Vredesteins to Pirelli ATRs. Definte drop of about 5% in mpg.

I guess you could just look at the trade-off between the (reported) increased fuel consumption and the (reported)
increased longevity of the ATR's......now who wants to do a 50k/2 year scientific test of tyre savings over mpg costs ..... "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...
