What sort of mileage do others get from their tyres?

After 45k on 19" Pirelli ATR's I had 3-4mm remaining on front and 5-6mm on rear. So should have been good for 50k miles but I had worn suspension parts that increased the wear on front n/s edge tyre.

Switched to a set of 18" Pirelli ATR's which look good for 50+k miles.

In the USA the Pirelli ATR has a 50k miles warranty (conditional). Have a look at the All Terrain tyre tests for USA and Aus.

In the past I've had up to 18-22k miles per set from 19" Pirelli Zero's and Goodyear Wrangler HP's.

Scroll through the posts in this section, there's all you need to know Thumbs Up

Was getting 25k a set from 17" Contis, changed at 3mm. Done 5k on ATRs & they are still like new.

Did try to do a search but it didn't seem to give much but still learning how to use site. Perhaps I should have narrowed the search down a bit.
I think tyre manufacturers change their tyres regularly so it's good to get up to date information and I appreciate the time taken for those with experience to let the 'others' into their secrets. Bow down

Best I've ever gotten is
circa. 80,000km ( 50k /miles ) from a set of 19" Michellin 4x4 Synchrones

they discontinues these tyres and replaced them with a tyre that dont seem to have performed as well
on saying that
tyre pressure, tracking, suspension wear , all have an effect on the tyre life, and this has obviously deterioated on the D3 since it was bought
but time n time again i keep recommending Michellins to people buying them through me, more expensive but € per km they cost lots less than the nasties !

A tyre that lasts for ever is great for your pocket but not the best for grip, think about it.

You need to find the right tyre to suit your needs and your pocket, this is why the General AT and the Pirelli ATR are very popular for end users.

You all know what my choice is Whistle and I know what floats your boats. Thumbs Up

Bring it on, feel another punch up on the cards LT. Rolling with laughter

No need for a punch up Andy. IDGAF what tyres people buy, as I don't sell them Laughing .

I just like to pass on my own experiences with the several different brand/type of tyres that I've personally used over the 120k miles that I've driven my D3. I think that I'm not alone in using my D3 as a an everday and business vehicle and also needing to use it's off-road capability. That's what this forum is all about Thumbs Up

It just so happens that the tyre that suits my needs best also happens to regularly win independent All -Terrain tyre tests. As per the latest:

i have 18'' GY Wranglers M+S. on my 5th set now. First 4 sets averaged 26.5k miles between them.

Set 1: 22,000 miles
Set 2: 23,101 miles
Set 3: 28,029 miles
Set 4: 31,606 miles

alot depends what type of tyre's you have and what your driving style is.

hope that helps.

Ian.
