Extended warranty
My Disco is now 5 years old.last year I took out extended warranty with Land Rover and this is about to run out.
Local LR dealer says that to renew for another year will be about£800 plus but does not cover as much.
Have received quote from Warranty Direct abot £200 cheaper. Has anyone any experience to offer me on either alternative?

I binned WD and went for Warranty Wise. Seems to be better cover for less.

Whatever you look at read and understand what's covered and (more importantly) what's not.

I originally went with WD which was priced at £650 all in. I have heard positive and negative about them but poor communication and admin mistakes from WD led me to have second thoughts and in the end I cancelled and went with LR with LRA cover instead at £950. Some may think I'm mad (and may be right ) but I was re-assured by my dealer that I would struggle to notice the difference between the full extended LR and the original LR 3 year warranty. Time will tell 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Moo Warranty Wise is cheaper but fecking
they say it is all pre-mature wear feckers not paying up for any jobs unless it is major one like gearbox falling out on the motroway .... stay away from those scumbags

Disagree. I had similar poor experience with WD but have only heard great things from friends with WW and garages i have spoken to prefer WW to deal with.
Horses for courses and no doubt many different experiences by many people with many different warranty providers.

Decided to stick with Land Rover Select at £665. Probably better the devil you know as never had any problems with claims in past.
I've managed to get two claims accepted by Warranty Direct so far (that's 2 out of 2, too, not 2 out of 100 ). So far so good.____

So far, we've claimed once with WD - no problem, cheque arrived yesterday am and the claim was 10 days in to policy starting.
Followed the advice on here - bartered down and down on the price and left it til the last day of month to screw down a deal on the day

WD get from me, on 2nd year on my car and had policy on SWMBO's D3 for a year. Last claim was paid about 6 days after sending off the form. It helps if you have a dealer that is happy to jump through the extra hoops.
You're right - my claim has been entirely managed by my dealer (Lookers, Bishops Stortford.) Big to them, been great.____
