hi alll
have been looking at previous posts on gearbox judder (which im staring to get) i was just wandering if this is covered by a warranty (lol) just in case i need a new torque converter & box.seems to me that a lot of people are paying a lot of money for something that should be covered or do they not have a warranty.at the moment im not covered but was looking at warranty directs cover,use to have them on my vw touareg and everything that went wrong wasnt covered as usual .any ideas lads cheers daz

Regardless of the provider - they won't cover pre-existing faults

I agree on pre existing faults comment as I have been thinking same thing. However I think there must be an argument on the basis that the gear box is a sealed unit and there for should last the life time of the vehicle. In terms of its oil. If not then it should of been made easily maintainable.
I'm going to try to claim. Oh. And istr that this generates no fault codes so would have a hard time showing pre existing

And ............. as you discovered, Warranty Direct are a waste of money
Happily take your cash, but will then wriggle like a wriggley thing to avoid any payouts.
I was looking at taking extended cover via them until i had a good read up Guns and Landrovers ..... anything else is irrelevant.
