Interior LED replacements |
|
I'm looking to replace my interior lights with the LED's from HIDS4U
http://www.hids4u.co.uk/LED-Ultra-Bright-S...dules.html
I've searched the forums and managed to find that the 30 LED units will fot the centre light, and the 12 LED units fit the boot and puddle lights
Has anyone replace the 2 footwell ones at the front? What size is needed?
Also, what about the 2 lights either side of the centre light anyone replaced those?
Thanks
Ade

From memory, I think the holders for the footwell lights are the same size as the puddle lights; have a look at them and confirm. I used these for the footwells, puddle lights, sidelights, glove box and the map lights:
'501 LED Bulb - Long 13 LED SMD 3528 Extreme Power 2W 360 Degree White'
Have used a 12 LED one for the boot interior, 30 LED for the main courtesy light. It's plenty bright enough! Make sure you get them all the same colour though, warm white is best for the interior IMHO, I have the cool white for the side and puddle lights.
HIDS4U are great too, quick despatch and good quality bulbs.

The 30LED unit is really really bright!!! For the center light I changed back to the 12LED unit which is still bright enough IMO. Ãlso went for warm white since the it's doesn't "hurt" the eye so much.
I didn't bother changing the puddle lights, but put in some 501 for the licence plate lighting: looks really nice in combination with the D4 rear lights. Will post some pics when I find the time.
Regards
