Intermittent Fuel Display

I've a tempermental display which seems to be affected by the cold weather.

It started in the depths of last Winter's cold. First the display occasionally dropped from the true reading to about half of what it should read. Then it started reading empty. The problem would always occur 1st thing and rectify itself after about 10 minutes of driving. When the cold weather went the fault disappeared and hasn't reappeared until the last couple of days when overnight temps have hit zero again.

1. Anyone had anything similar?
2. Where are the senders in the D3 and associated wiring? I think someone told me last year that they're part of the fuel pumps and there's more than 1.
3. Anyone know how to test them and how much they are to replace?

Hi

It could be the wireing to the top of the pump/sender or one of the senders them selfs. Their are 2 senders in the tank, one at the front and one on the pump assembly.
