I came across a Denso theory of operation document. I hope it helps those trying to understand how the system works:

[quote="Flack"]What have you got fitted have you got a touch screen sat nav ??. But as lee157 has said it sounds like one of your ecu's is not responding to complete the f/optic loop. You have changed the amp so you need to look if you have TMC and or Bluetooth fitted in the rear drivers side quarter panel and check them out.

I have a small f/optic loop that I just plug in to test the system out if it boots up when inserted then that ecu is the problem one.

Flack Thumbs Up hi I have a d3 no sound from the radio although it all appears to be working the Satanv is on land rover screen the rear headphone plugs don’t work either! It had this fault a couple of months ago which was the amp but that was replaced and was fine until yesterday I swapped the amps from my other d3 and both work in the other but not this one! Where can I get the f/ optic loop you mention?

I've had a similar problem appear this morning. NAV screen is not turning on and although the HU is on and responsive no audio from any source.

Is the NAV the likely culprit and just needa replacing?

Less than ideal as we head off to North Devon for week on Thu and it's 4hrs each way!

If the screen has no power (or is dead) it takes down the MOST optical network (orange cables) and no sound can get to the amplifier.

If you want music back its possible to point the two orange cables together CAREFULLY.

or if you want a working screen, order a replacement

Awesome thanks for that. Seems like a perfect time to do the D4 screen upgrade!

No audio. Replaced amp, still no audio.

Prior owner never used the Bluetooth hands free, I did. Also had and fixed a leaky drain from sunroof.

Looking through the forum, trying different things, still no joy:

- Tried reset via right button menu on head unit, no difference
- Hard reset, connecting positive / negative connectors, no difference
- Replaced amp, no difference

Could be:

- Buggy Bluetooth module?
- Water damage to cables to / from amp?
- I’ve order a MOST loop to try and troubleshoot the fiber optic loop, anyone done this before?

Thanks for advice!
