When compared to the rear tyres, I have noticed my fronts are wearing out at an alarming rate. (snip) I have done 7,500 mls since new (May), & both fronts - at a guess - have probably lost half their legal tread, whilst both rears still look virtually new.
Just wondering, did you recently have your car serviced (normally at 7,500 miles). Perhaps the dealer rotated the tires and the worn tires are actually from your rear? That would make more sense based on what most people are experiencing.
As you no doubt know by now, there is a TSB replacing bushings somewhere that control toe-in and camber and once this is done, there is a mandatory 4 wheel realignment that helps considerably.

no free replacement. 4 wheel alignment showed there was an issue, the problem was on the whole as identified with a LR technical bulletin2004 TDV6 HSE Auto Zambezi Silver

those Fuldas look good - but do we know what their wear rate is like?
So far, it seems that another round of Pirellis is the way forward - at Kwik-Fit, they're £162 each if you buy a pair, fitted/balanced etc., which is pretty good. If 4 are needed, they work out at about £145 each.
shop around if you can find an online dealer that has local fitting your kwik fit will price match.2004 TDV6 HSE Auto Zambezi Silver

In the UK, for the TDV6, the 1st service is not until 15k (or 12mths, whichever sooner). Most of us over here have the diesel lump as they use marginally less fuel (I assume yours is a V6/V8 petrol?), ... and these days, the cost of a UK tank-full of fuel almost requires a house re-mortgage . Not that I am at all jealous of your lower fuel prices. Do LR3s need more frequent servicing in the US? Your fuel can't be THAT dirty?! Over here, I think the schedule for the V8 is the same as for the diesel lump, i.e. every 15k mls. Anyway, in answer to your original question, my wheels/tyres are in their original positions - no swapping has occurred.DGRR

True, but I doubt if anyone would do it for below £145 a tyre, fitted. An hour or 2 of phone calls and/or surfing might shave off 50p, but I reckon that's about it. Has anyone actually had Pirellis fitted for less than that? (I'd love my reckoning to be wrong!)DGRR

Well, that's interesting. In the US, we are giving free service every 7,500 miles.
