Why did my 05 Atra Van have better spec windows than my HSE

I have just bought an 05 D3 and cant belive that the passenger window doesnt have on touch up and down!

Can it be done easily???

Also how come the lock button doesnt shut the windows if you keep it depressed????

My old Astra had these as standard!

Tell me please, there must be a mod to fix these basic function on most cars of the noughtys.

If is possible to upgrade.....HOW?

Afraid this was not standard until the 2008 model (I believe) of the D3 and I'm afraid that it cannot be switched on.

Looks like you bought the wrong highly capable, spacious, comfortable go-anywhere vehicle.

Hopefully the dealer still has your van and you can trade back?

Just out of interest, if it became available in 2008 (and I'm assuming we're talking about one-touch passenger windows here, not the close-all-windows when locking business), what exactly changed to accommodate this? Is it a new physical switch module in the driver's door, a reprogramming of some ECU somewhere, or both? And what is it therefore that means it can't be retro-fitted to a pre-2008 model?

2005 D3 S 10-12 (gone and missed)
