intermittant knock/vibration from rear on pull away in 2nd

Hi i have a 2008 disco 3 (2.7 diesel manual) with over 100k on the clock

i have an intermittant vibration/knock (started about 20,000 miles ago) that seems to be from the rear, i usally find this happens when i pull off a gravel track on to the main road in sacond. i have had this into the dealer quite a number of times but they cant sort it, and now it has run out of warrenty.

i believe they have changed all rear upper and lower arms, rear track rods, passenger side wheel bearing, all the rear knuckle joints, checked the fluids in rear diff, transfer box and (manual) gear box and said these were clean. substituted both rear half shafts and prop shaft and had the car 4 wheel aligned a few times.

but the fault still persists and is driving me mad and is going to cost me money to sort now.

does anyone have any ideas

Started 20'000 miles ago Shocked . You are a patient lad Wink

Kidding aside; you've concentrated all your efforts on the rear, but how sure are you the sound is not emanating from the front? It can be quite deceiving.

I have a similar problem; only I get one muted knock when I turn right while moving forward at 20mph Exclamation

I’ve had the car at the dealer who has replaced every conceivable knuckle, bush and joint, but all to no avail Sad

I’d love to hear if anyone has experienced the same issue and has managed get it sorted.

Cheers

Peter
