I just got back from a couple of weeks in spain and have noticed the car is starting to judder a bit when pulling away, or accelerating in a high gear at low revs. Once it changes down (to higher revs, say above 2.5k rpm) juddering disappears. Its the same judder as you would get driving on the raised warning lines on a motorway. Also get a bit of a clonk when coming up to junctions and stopping sometimes. All from drivetrain. All generally feels a bit loose/juddery/wobbly. Also got an error come up on dash on way back from Spain, 'Transmission fault detected, traction reduced'
2008 TDV6 G4 64k miles, BAS remap.
Any ideas? Thanks.

Transmission oil change would probably be the answer, unless the rear prop shaft centre bearing has broken up, but that would be a constant vibration.

Correct! Mine had a similar symptom after a trip to the Alps earlier in the year. It would shudder quite badly at each gear change.
I think the fact that I drove across France with a failing egr meant it was hunting up and down the box quite a lot on cruise control, so I command shift locked it into 6th for most of the journey. Also, the oil was probably fairly 'tired' as the car had done a trip to Morocco the previous summer and experienced some seriously hot temperatures.
My dealer did a 'Double flush' which changes the oil twice, therefore removing as much as possible. This was done under warranty. The car is now absolutely fine.
