Hi jacob
I have found that I need to inflate the MTRs a little higher than the standard pressures. I get more wear on the tyre edges if I keep them standard.
In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Jacob, when I had the 17" STTs I found running them at the standard LR recommend pressures was best

My english not being the best, does "harder wearing" means you can do more kms or less kms with the mtrs than with the road versions?

Hi Folks,
Back to the original question...

Why would you want to put MTRs on 19" wheels - and keep 18" tyres for offroad?

It doesn't make sense... why would a wookie want to live on Endor?

I didn't say that, I said that I had a set of 18" wheels with road tyres and a set of 19" rims, the logical thing to do therefore was to buy the MTR's and use them on the 19's for off-road. OK an 18" might be better but the choice of tyres is very limited and as I already had road tyres on these...............

Unless you're in a hurry to get some serious off-roading done, I'd wear out the tyres on the 18"s, then fit off-road tyres to those. The deeper side wall on 18" tyres will be better for off-roading & afford more protection for the rims (from what I've heard here).
Stick some Pirellis on the 19" rims & enjoy the brilliant handling & steering feel (for a big 4X4) that such a combo gives.

Another suggestion

How about - sell the 18" wheels/tyres, buy 17" with offroad tyres and put road tyres on your 19". That way you get best of both worlds.

Cheers,
Rob
