Car in reverse, hand brake off but it won't move.. any ideas

Hi all,

My wife reported an issue to me tonight. We told me that the car was put into reverse and the hand brake released. When gas applied it just revved but didn't move. She applied the H/B again, took it out of gear, did it all again and still no movement. Third time.. it worked ok..

Now is this the EPB issue or Gear lever issue? Or something else. Any input please..

Are you sure it is in reverse rather than just looking like it from the gear lever? Does it show R on the dash LCD when you select it?

I'm with - I bet it wasn't in gear. You mention it revved?...if it was in gear with the HB on it wouldn't rev freely, far from it!
