Portsmouth crossing seemed very expensive when we were looking to book. Gone with the shuttle and £60 worth of tesco vouchers, a lot cheaper and all the more spending funds for beeer and wine. MY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange

08:30 Portsmouth-Le Harve on 03/07 and then 17:00 Le Harve-Portsmouth on the 12th with LD £170,price dropped by £100 from previous weeks
Did think about chunnel/dover-Calais ferry but then the extra drive put me off,it takes roughly the same time from here to either Dover/Portsmouth so any time saved on the other side is good plus 4 Hrs kip on ferry

We're on the 12:40 Dover/Calais service next Tuesday afternoon. Gets into France about 3:15 local time. Then it's off on the first leg of the 590 mile drive South to Millau. Good job the D3 is such a fantastically comfortable tow car Hope to get to Camping Les Rivages, just outside Millau, by early afternoon next Wednesday.
Can't wait Now an ex-D3 owner after 7 happy years. Miss the car but not the big bills

NOT CAMPING IN FRANCE NOW
Ok,due to the incompetence/lazyness and skinflint passport office we are now not camping in France.
Does anyone have any recomendations for good child friendly campsites in Devon/Cornwall.
Looking for decent onsite facility's for kids and a bar.
Doesnn't have to have a pool but a bar would be good.
Dont mind a short drive to attractions as long as site has a bar.
And just incase i forget, the site needs to have a bar
All suggestions considered.

We are heading to cornwall in the morning for a few days. We are camping at carlyon bay site. Seems nice will check on the bar facilities for you I will report on what its like and anything else we see.
Good choice. Stayed there a couple of years back. It's owned by a Disco3 member and he's a gem I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Ok,
Just checked the website and site looks good so heading down Monday for 7 nights to start with.
Works out £4 cheaper a night for the pitch but save on european breakdown/travel insurance/ferry costs
Dan,May see you if you are still there.
ND,thanks for the endorsement.
Will see if we stay longer or become gypsy's for the next few weeks.

If you see Jeff, tell him Al says hi and may well be down later in the summer. I'll try not to bring the weather this time. I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.
The campsite shop sells Cornish Rattler cider and all the local beers.I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.
