anyway, back to the subject, the CC doesn't have a fuse, it's integrated into the CJB, BCU & ECU, in theory, you could add it to any Disco3 without it - if you had the engineering codes.... other than that, it's just the buttons and a resistance ladder

does this mean voltage dips/fluctuations/spikes at the instant you use it could in theory cause an error and it to switch off? 2004 TDV6 HSE Auto Zambezi Silver

No, the reference voltage is constantly monitored and is itself dropped from battery voltage to 5VDC (nominal)
I have seen several Disco3's with poor battery terminal connections however, which can and have led to spurious errors

The most likely cause of CC problems is the 'clock spring' connection between the steering wheel and the steering column, although the connectors in the steering wheel cannot be discounted. Wheel sensors can also cause a CC error, although this would normally cascade through other systems, resulting in the suspension lowering - along with ABS / DSC / HDC systems showing a fault or unavailable before affecting the CC

I agree with Slimer - I have experienced the cruise control failing following use on the accelerate and decelerate buttons. Leave those alone and it seems to be fine. It has always worked normally following turning ignition off and on. 2005, TDV6 S, Auto, 190k miles, owned from new, V8 Brake Upgrade, Nancom Evo, RLD protector, BAS EGR blanking & Remap, separate ATF cooler, changing all the fluids ahead of time.

After Morocco I'll take mine if for them to fix along with having another go at replacing the amp as now I'm fairly sure I know why the replacement they tried before sounded so bad. The End

I suffered the same problems with th CC. I had to reboot constantly. The dealer replaced some "micro switches" under the CC rocker switches and I subsequently have not further problems.
The dealers know about the problem and it is warranty. Don't take the "all it needs is a reboot". 06 TDV6 SE with many LR and after-market extras. Used only on weekends and trips out west.
