Are we getting those buttons on D3?? |
|
Please have a look at www.rrsport.co.uk and click on gallery then in the top section interiors and on the second picture it shows the interior of 2007MY RR Sport. On the phone panels there are extra buttons for SOS, a spanner and information. I miss these features from my Volvo. Does anyone know if we're getting these on D3 07MY with pti?
I've laid down the challenge.........how knows the answer
Cheers

and while you're at it, what's the extra button above the cruise controls. I've seen an extra button on early shots of the D3 and have always been curious as to it's purpose.

I think I can answer that one CW. It's to control the distance on the adaptive cruise control.

The service manager at my dealership was telling me about these new systems that LR have in development last month, from what he said I think that it will be at least a year or so before they are available on any LR. Was also told that the new system would allow the dealers to remotely update the cars software, all the dealer would need to do would be to arrange a time with the customer when the car was not in use eg overnight. Also if the car had a problem the dealer could interrogate the cars computer remotely and either fix the problem or order in the parts. 1996 Discovery 1 300TDI ES Biarritz Blue, sold

I've seen it on RR Sport and FFRR, they have a big black bulge under the bumper to house the radar. Haven't seen it available on D3, not sure if I'd really want it. In a D3 you can just drive over or through whats in front of you, so you don't need to space yourself

It's good to hear Woody, but I can't understand why they have to spend so much time developing it when they can nick it from Volvo who have had it for 3 years. Beats me anyhow

Ah, I was close enough! Where ever it came from it stonks along nicely enough for me!
I never mind where the bits come from in a car, I wish there was more of one manufacturer seeing a good idea in another & "innovating" it. Little plastic flap to put your parking pay & display ticket on in old Volvos or the curry hook in the D2, I miss them sooooo much!
