Has anyone ever tried to move/replace the Aux Port? |
|
Hi
The Aux port on my '57 D3 SE is playing up. Think one of the kids trod on it moving across the back seat. So I have 3 choices:
1. Do nothing
2. Try and replace it where it is
3. Try to replace it, but move it to the front of the centre console away from the kids feet.
I'm a novice in this area. I did manage to fit the towbar electrics, but struggle with putting up shelves. Any thoughts from my more experienced peers on this site....?
Thanks

No reason why you can't, some speaker wire cable is all you need. Then you can place it anywhere you like.
Just solder the connections at the back of the aux socket and wire to wherever Bodsys Brake Bible

It's friction-fit:

my aux port is now underneath the centre console where the hidden cup holders used to be!
easier for me to do hidden wiring to screens etc.
