We had the same thing. What our problem was is behind the rear wheels, on the inside, is an access hatch to the rear lights. On the Drivers side hatch ( North American ) are a lot of wires, maybe to control rear view camers etc, which have a fitting to tie them all down. On our HSE these were not tied in & I could not get them tied in so I taped them all together which stopped them ratteling against the hatch & metal. Bob LR3 HSE, Running boards, Dog Guard, Mud Flaps & side protection kit. Dodge 2003 2500 Ram Long Box Cummins with to many mods to list, Nash 27-5N 5th Wheel & looking at a Mazda Miata to replace the SLK

Mine does the same - and it is the seat (rear right). Of course the dealer says he cannot hear it: "there is no rattle". Sigh!
But I can live with it.

Hi Mike, long time no post! thought you'd got rid of it.
Did you get your suspension issues resolved? Last I heard you were possibly in line for a replacement. Mine has done 8000 miles since the last occurence, so confidence is growing by the day.
