Australia 2012 Discovery 4 3.0 SDV6 SE Auto Fuji WhiteDiscovery 4

I noticed mine made a cunking noise from pasenger rear area from time to time. More often after enhancement, could be the weights, no rubber bush on the bump stop bolt, maybe wrapping some tape around it would help.
Large chunks of steel to be carrying around, what is their purpose?

harmonic dampeners, to reduce chassis vibration and noise entering the cab or so I'm led to believe

Clunking here too

Recently noticed a similar clunking sound from rear passenger side of my new LR3 too. After being unable to locate, took to dealer who has been troubleshooting for a couple days.

They say that it IS the counterbalance weight, and ordered a part they thought would help fix (no idea which part). Installed new part today, and they say sound is better but still present, so they're working on it...

Please let us know if/how yours gets resolved! I'll do the same.

At least I've got an LR3 SE V6 as a loaner. I miss mine, but this ok (and no annoying clunk--though the engine is noticably louder).
