Tablet DVD Player Mounting
Chaps & Chapetts,
I'm looking for some guidance from you creative ones as to how I might mount a tablet DVD player. The roof mounted options get a bit pricey especially as I plan to change my D3 every 12-18 months.
I have the option to acquire at zero cost a Nextbase SDV1102, 10 inch tablet dvd which fits nicely between the front seats and connects to the aux and power sockets in the second row.
My conundrum is how to mount the unit between the front seats. My initial cunning plan was to secure the unit via Velcro to the front arm rests, worked really well until you try to sit in the front seats as your arms are totally restricted Doh...
The ideal solution would be a bracket which attaches without causing any damage to the cold cubby box and provides a vertical / 45 degree type platform to attach the dvd to?
I've spoken with Brodit and Ram who make centre console brackets but not for the D3.
Any thoughts, apart from; stop being tight and fit a roof mounted system or have the kids adopted.

Yeah, stop being tight, fit a roof mounted system, and pass the Nextbase onto me.
Seriously though, could you do something with straps between the innermost "headrest handles"?

Hoops, i have a portable DVD player in a canvas type pouch and i simply use a velcro strap through the pouch and round the top of the cubby hole box.
Excess velcro gets stored inside the cubby box and its far enough past my elbows not to cause a problem.
Had to do it this way as i was a cheapskate and went for a base 7 D3 so didn't get a DVD or arm-rests. Think it'll be a HSE next time....
