This warranty direct package wouldn't cover suspension or aircon does cover wear and tear. Select on the other hand is the other way around.
There is also the pay £100 a month into an isa and take your chances option...
Thoughts?

Make sure you get the turbo covered!! Wouldn't recommend the ISA route but that's just me.

I went with warrantywise, I pay £45 a month for 3 years fixed price, they do have loads of options for the cover and includes using main dealers for fixing and wear and tear. Haven't had to claim yet so don't know how good they are in that respect.
When I was looking round that the first quote was always quite high, but within a couple of days they would phone with a better deal, its just a case of filling in the form and sit back and wait. Joined the BMWX5 45e group
1994 Defender 90
2015 RRS Corris Grey/Black roof
2016 D4 Graphite Santorini Black
2012 D4 XS Orkney Grey
2005 D3 S Maya Gold
New and revised quote due to milage and other factors, also better level of cover, includes aircon, emissions, wear & tear MOT failure and the fact that if i take it to independant garage and they cannot fix it and the garage has to send it to dealers then all that is covered, (got two quotes on for dealer repair one for independant grage repair) £200 difference
so the quote £590
Asked about no betterment ok call it £610 all in
Suggested that swmbo car FL2 due out of warrenty in few months "Excellent" he said we do multicar warrenties just quote your ref number to get extra 25% off,
Said would have to think about it as i am still looking around, AA quoted £490 for two years, he said don't touch with barge pole will not cover turbo etc very poor, suggested warrenty wise to which he said, "Ask if they cover wheel bearings etc"
He going to call back tomorrow but his parting words were even Landrover Owners Club reccommend us as we offer what is effectively an extension of the manufactures warrenty,
Too Be Continued

I've got it all to come, a bit of a lottery I think, I have just signed up for Warranty Direct for next year when my manufacturers warranty runs out, it has been a minefield choosing one, maybe you can have a laugh then, let's see

I found the lady at Warranty Direct very good, answered every question and I had loads after reading these threads, it's funny but I think when the know you are not a mug, they treat you a little differently and will actually help you get the best deal.
At the end of the day these people are all salesmen and women, they are there to sell, make money and have nice cars themselves, nothing wrong in that, but I don't have the money to waste when you can get the same or better cheaper.
Selling and buying is easy, it is the claiming that you quit rightly mention that is crucial, you need good support and people that know what they are on about, I feel WD have that from what I have read and questions I have asked
Your research can pay dividends, decide what you are after, roughly how much you are prepared to pay, and go searching

I found a first e-mail I had from Warranty Direct detailing what was covered in Extra Care and the cost, this was later negotiated up to Luxury Care and Franchised dealer unlimited rates cheaper, but this will give you an idea of what to expect, I have all of this and more with the Luxury Care package:
LR D3 GS Manual MY09
The best level of cover for you is Extra Care Cover. The price of the package is £589 for 12 months (Network Labor Rate).
Warranty Direct price includes:
* Warranty cover Mechanical and electrical breakdown cover
* Car Hire
* Overnight Hotel Accommodation
* Emergency Travel
* Technical help line
* Discounts off your future MOT and service
The Package also includes “Emmisions & Airbags†cover for free.
You also get a Wear and Tear cover. This means if a covered component fails because it has worn down over a period of time, e.g. Wheel Bearings, Shock Absorbers etc, we will still cover the cost of that repair.
5 major things that make us the leading warranty company :-
Wear and Tear failures are covered.
We cover failure caused by un-insured parts or Consequential Loss.
Service and MOT failures are covered.
Over heating is covered
Also, we cover diagnostics on a valid claim.
The type of things not covered by the warranty are Consumable items like Tyres, Break pads, exhaust etc.
Your Claims Limit is the value of the car at point of claim.
We handle all our claims in house. We have a dedicated team of engineers here 6 days a week so it allows us to process claims very quickly. The turnaround time is up to 7 days.
The excess fee is £ 50/claim.
You have to provide proof of service and MOT if you need to make a claim in the future. You could be 1000 miles or 28 days over your service. Any more than that, your policy could become invalid.
You have a 30 day cooling off period to ensure you are happy with all elements of your policy. You have the right to cancel with no charge within your cooling off period.
*******************************************
According to the e-mail I could look at my 'stored' quote on their system, well here it is and I ended up paying £535 for Luxury Care with extra's thrown in

Well, I didn't call back....
They just called me
I asked about the turbo, he said it's covered. I asked about EPB, that's not covered.
So EPB, Suspension, compressor - all not covered. That's the bad parts.
Good part is he dropped in another £80, so now £700. & Dealer Cover
£75 MORE then LR Select (which Ive not heard much good stuff about)
I heard back from Kam's company but they just can't compete.
He phoned me back again today, asked how i got on wit quotes, said his was middle of the road price wise, wanted to know if i wanted to go ahead with the deal, had to say that in the current climate would love to but something was holding me back, he asked what it was i said price , ok let me see what i can do he said, worked his magic and instead of £610 he could do £570 inc aircon, turbo, emissions, wear & tear, MOT and no betterment oh and interest free payments,
Just waiting for policy to come through to check it through,
