Has anyone installed a CB radio on the D3?

If so, where and how did you mount it? (pictures would be nice).

Thanks,

You could do left or right but it's more likely to get knocked as you get in and out if it's on the 'outside'

Basically the bracket is just screwed into the large sloping panel under the steering wheel, if/when you remove it and you find can't make the holes good that panel's not going to very expensive to replace

I've got a GME Tx3400 remote head UHF radio. The remote head is on top of the steering column and the unit is on top op the cover that goes over the drivers footwell.

Do you chaps use UHF or VHF??

Both are used. However, If you mean what is commonly used, 27 mhz (HF) is the most widespread frequency rank as you do not need a licence to use it. All you have to do is present the equipment before the telecommunications agency and pay a fee.

In order to have acces to higher frequencies you need to pass an exam and obtain an "ammateur" license.

Thanks for the pic. How about the antena/wiring?

The power is taken off from behind the iginition somewhere.

I've got the ARB bar and it comes with antenna mounting points.

Previously, I had a bracket made up that bolted into the front of the bumper.
