thanks, thought they maybe as codes are same on keys.
I am getting spare locks so all my thule kit has same locks - to get locks out you have to open the lock and take key out, then use master key - i can do that on my thule stuff but when i unlock my LR box the key stays in! anyone else have same experience

Here's a idea from way out there, had a roof box, Mercedes ,branded , one key lost ,so one lock no good,
And noticed it's a generic lock and key
From a locker , with just a longer flat bit that I cut down as the same size and it fits perfectly in, now had this box on our old car , then bought a d3 , decided to sell the roof box as it would not fit , as this one has bars that slid into Mercedes roof bars !! Imagine my surprise when I got the d3 and saw the same type of roof bars , that were branded Lr .
So I slid my roof box on , perfect fit , apparently the box is made by Thule , and mecedes put a plastic sticker ot , pics in my gallery , so would it not mean that the locks they use are generic , mine cost me £5 lock 2 keys .
You could try that . 2008 ,hse, it does what it says .
