No, that's just too easy. Rolling with laughter

Guys

I attach below a copy of another document that appears to show that the new car will be 255HP. Other changes to the new car are also shown for each derivative as well as the new list and OTR prices.

MY2011 vs MY2012 prices

For comparison purposes, the 2011 prices were as follows (the last figure for each derivative being the OTR price):

DISCOVERY 4
2011 MODEL YEAR PRICE LIST – JANUARY 2011
3.0 Commercial
TDV6 (210hp) Commercial Automatic 27,626.67 115.00 5,548.33 33,290.00 33,545.00
SDV6 (245hp) Commercial Automatic 28,543.34 115.00 5,731.67 34,390.00 34,645.00
3.0 SDV6 (245hp) Automatic
GS 29,835.00 115.00 5,990.00 35,940.00 36,745.00
XS 35,335.00 115.00 7,090.00 42,540.00 43,345.00
HSE 41,501.67 115.00 8,323.33 49,940.00 50,745.00

This appears to be an increase of £1200 on GS, £850 on the XS and £450 on the HSE.

Does the HSE come with the adaptive Cruise control? Had a day out at LRE recently with the RRS and the adaptive cruise was the highlight.

Doesnt look like it will be available, at least from the manual which was linked on page 8.

I see a tyre repair kit referenced in the manual, instead of a proper spare. Is this new or has this been used before?

Did someone look into the "vehicle recovery" section of the manual? It says towing on four wheels is not possible, the dial will move to P to make sure this is not attempted. I mean, it's a Land Rover, who needs being towed anyway? Whistle

I can't read the manual at the moment but the gear selector does automaticallybmove to P when the ignition is switched off (assuming it hasn't jammed of course); however, there is a manual release which allows towing. Best not outline it here as one of the deterrents to nicking an XF is that it's very heavy and even harder to drag away in park Thumbs Up

The rotary selector in the FFRR moves to P when the engine is switched off so presume the new D4 will do the same.

Having had the FFRR for some 3 months I can honsestly say that the sport mode is not needed as you just flick the paddle down a gear and off you go - yes I know the FFRR has 315bhp or there abouts but 255bhp is an improvement on the older D4's so should offer a very similer pleasurable drive.

I do miss the gear lever still and it takes some getting used to waiting for the selector to pop up as you cant select a gear till its up fully - only a minor thing really though.

Just waiting to hear back from the dealer re the FFRR as she has some issues and I think they are taking her back off me so possibly looking at the D4 as a replacement but not keen on the length of time to get one!!

Japseroony

Forgive my ignorance, but what is an FFRR? Fully fledged Range Rover (to distinguish from the RR Sport)? Flippin' (or similar) Fast RR?

regards

Rob.

FFRR enlightenment...

By coincidence my D3 has gone in for new brakes today, and my dealer has given me a RR Vogue TDV8 for the next day or two. I had no idea how good they are. We had a P38 RR 4.0 V8 a few years ago and thought that was good, but this new car is amazing!

Lets see how long it is before the "Low Battery - Start The Engine" warning light comes on - nothing to worry about according to LR but a warning light none the less Yawn

I do agree though, the engine and gear box is superb if only LR could rectify the other problems Exclamation Exclamation
