Glad to hear they gor it running nicely for you. Was there any explanation for the initial troubles?

P.S. Cars with traditional coil springs are often delivered with plastic bits wedged into the springs to that they don't bounce around too much when on the back of transporters. However with the Disco running an air suspension system, I wouldn't have thought that was the cause of the original issue that you experienced...

Malta 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 Commercial Manual Buckingham BlueDiscovery 3

Welcome to Malta, where our government would like to have us all driving 800cc matchbox cars, hiding behind the environmental excuse all the time. Of course the full extras BMW 3 litre cars and Jaguars they drive to parliament in magically have no effect on the environment. Definitely not a case of practising what they preach! Moreover, when it rains a bit more than just a drizzle, there's no way anyone can get through many roads with the 800cc matchbox cars...

The only way to enjoy Land Rover ownership without getting ripped off to pieces here is by buying commercial vehicles. Tax is sky high on private Disco 3's but dead low on commercial Disco 3's. I had a Defender 90 Hardtop (van), and now a commercial Disco 3. I have no idea what I'm going to do when kids start appearing! Whistle

Rant over

Dennis

Hi Dennis, you are right.

I always had land rovers. At the moment I have a 110 Van which I use for work. Always wanted a land rover for the family to take them camping and overland to Tunisia. These are things that I use to do before I had a family.

I was looking at a Defender Utility, but in the end I always wanted a Discovery. Muscat have one new D4 and from what I am told it is the only one he is going to bring to Malta. The prices are crazy and from what I heard from someone that works at transport Malta they will get worst. “They” want to remove the cars from the street so that more people use the NEW public transport.

Enjoy! Very Happy
I need to visit them about the D3 brake recall!

Wish I could the extortionate price of a new D4 in Malta! But I'm happy with my imported commercial D3 for now Smile

nighthawk, I hear you.

Here in the island of Puerto Rico there is a luxury tax based on list price, it gets to over 40% for the LR... Big Cry
I know it's not as bad, but it hurts.. Also importing a car, they charge the tax based on book value for it to enter the island. My LR price was $72000. I did buy a dealer demo with 3k miles for $55k!!! Thumbs Up
