Can you change the point at which it comes on Adrian? I only ask because as you may remember, mine came on at 200miles before it was due.
It's been done now, (Just back in again for 3 wheel bearings and to sort the gearbox leak - all under warranty )Mark.

Lottie's service light has never come on (fnarr, quiet at the back) but LR did almost attempt to dodge a warranty claim last week because the car has missed a service.
So don't rely on the light / LCD / whatever would be my advice. Because the stealer appears to go on the stamps in the book. Which very nearly counted against us.
Wheel bearing, drive shaft oil leak, brake shoes and Electronic Park Brake module all done under warranty in the end, at the expense of a 30K service at 23K miles.

How do you turn the service light on and off?
Is it straight forward or is it a job for plugging it into the computer?
I only ask as im sure im due a service but havent seen any light or reminder in info screen appear and not sure if the previous owner has turned it off if its a simple job to do.
Cheers

Hi guys
I am in a similar situation, just bought a D3 4.4 V8 HSE (2005), it had full service history up to 58k from a main dealer, however it has now done 83k and there is no warning light or mileage indication when i turn the key....
How do I get the information on so I can see the situation??
The garage I bought it from did a pre sale service for me and did the oil and filter etc.... but the service indicator wasnt re-set by them, I now want to know the full story and get it booked in for a major if required.
CheersMany Thanks
