Richard,
Your tyre chioce is spot on, maybe ATR or AT could be a tad better but time alone will tell.
Many thanks for your custom.
Andy.

I've been following this thread closely and I'm going to order 4 ATs. Unfortunately, AJS is too far away from me so I'll be getting them from my local dealer. Even if they turn out to be not that that good, they'll be 100% better than the Accelera Iotas that are on it at the moment. My usual, local guy tried all of his usual sources and found no one had access to any till around january andy has them in stock, i used P4D http://www.p4d.co.uk/ to get them uplifted, they basically use a search arrangement to offer out your request to all the big Parcel couriers, then list instantly the quotes they get back, i put in 15kg as a weight , then 75cm x 75cm x 25cm as the dimensions, then x 4 items in total.
Best quote was with DHL, 48hr service ( though apparently it is normally nest day) price was £25 + vat a fooking bargain me thinks 8)
Though i did pay an extra £10 for insurance to £500, the chances of all 4 disappearing is slim to none, as for damage, they are round and rubbery so i think thats unlikely.
All in inc vat was around £39 to my door.
I will let you know if they turn up as promised with no extra charges due to me guessing the weight incorrectly Procrastination is the thief of time!!

Windowlicker - I did speak to my local dealer (who is a General stockist) but I can't remember what he said about availability. I'm overseas for the next 2 weeks so I'll give him a ring this week and see what he can do for when I get home. I have seen a couple of sets on eBay lately so they are out there.
Failing that, I might go with the courier option though I doubt I'll get such a good rate as yourself as we tend to get ripped off for living north of Inverness. 2015 Discovery 4 HSE Corris with Blackpack

There are some advertised on e bay, though on their listings they have stated they are currently out of stock, plus they are £75 more than Andys, and there is still postage on top of that .
I have sent a few bits and bobs way up North , your way on, the price wasnt particulary more expensive, it was more a case of , they turn up when they turn up, and basically Next day is a tad optimistic
All the best with your tyres dude Procrastination is the thief of time!!

I've just reserved the 4 ATs that my local dealer got in today. He ordered 16 but only got 4 due to them still being very scarce.
I should get them fitted before the end of the month and then I can start to really enjoy my new toy.
Windowlicker - thanks for the advice but I think I'm better off doing it this way as the delivery and the fitting would work out to be more expensive than the deal I got. Have fun with yours when you get them on. 2015 Discovery 4 HSE Corris with Blackpack

Nice one , it's good having a local supplier you have a good relationship with, works both ways, good service = repeat business. Jobs a good one
Enjoy your rubber rings when they arrive

Well boys and Girls what about some feedback from on the forum ????????????????????
Having very good reports back from non forum users, one long time customer has over 4,000 miles on his D3 and he is very happy so far, he does a lot of heavy towing delivering farm machinery etc and says the all round performance is better than his last set of tyres.
We still have good stock but it's getting a little patchy
Would be nice to hear from a few more forum members though.
Andy.

Well, I can't give any real world feedback on the tyres, only got them fitted today, done around 40miles on them, not even bedded in yet.
Though from the moment i left the fitting bay one VERY obvious thing I noticed was just how much more compliant/ less harsh the disco felt on the poor road surfaces.
When hitting the hard edged surface changes, potholes etc, it is a much softer, less harsh kickback through the car/steering wheel.
The tyres which were on previously were a pure road tyre, only a 1000 miles old so it cant be put down to low tread and high wear on the originals.
No obvious noise increase and grip/stability in pouring rain was Fantastic.
Roll on snow 8)
One other thing..... They have totally changed how the disco looks, instead of Smart and purposeful in a suit and brogues sort of way, it's now meaty, purposeful and smart in a pair of Salomon Hiking boots sort of way 8)
All in all really pleased with them, even if I may never use them for the ultimate purpose they were designed for.....
At least I know I can if I want to
Andy.... Do you know the recommended pressures for these tyres?? Procrastination is the thief of time!!
