done a HPI check and a DVLA MOT records check and everything has come up ok. The details on the MOT records check match with the old MOT certificates that are with the vehicle.
Grease Monkey where did you get that info from?
Obviously there is the VIN plate in the windscreen, is the VIN anywhere else?

In the driver's door jamb....VIN is listed there too.

All the info is freely available on various websites.... DVLA is a good one, as it shows if a vehicle is taxed and for how long.

The VIN Plate is in the following places.

Windscreen

On the bonnet slam panel

On the bonnet slam panel there is a genuine LR Sticker...I think this actually contains the VIN No. (I can't remember off the top of my head). Make sure this sticker isn't easy to peel off. It shouldn't peel at all if it is genuine.

On the Chassis (inline with the Drivers Door)

You probably will need to get rid of the mud to find it. Make sure that the numbers/letters haven't been tampered with. These numbers should be imprinted into the metal plate (NOT a Sticker). Make sure you can't see any "shadows" of any original numbers.

V5

Make sure all VIN No.s tie up with one another (simple - but many people forget to do this!). There should be no difference in any of the numbers.

Print this out as well. Can make sure everything tallies up then:

Good Luck! Thumbs Up
