Towbar stolen

Hi guys

got up this morning to find that my towbar has been stolen overnight Big Cry Big Cry

I suppose in hindsight the mere fact that it is detachable should have told me to take it off when not being used, but I foolishly thought that because it was lockable, that it would be OK. Embarassed

so beware - and if your not using your towbar then take it off and lock it away, then perhaps the Censored towrags that think they can make some easy money - wont make it at your expense.

I will be keeping an eye on fleebay, as it wasn't your standard swan-neck, it was like a dogleg that you could slide other attachments into,

If anyone sees an unusual towabar for sales, then please let me know, always worth a look, and perhaps if I find it I can let the seller have the rest of the towbar attachments wrapped round their thick skull

oh well rant over Big Cry Big Cry

Bad luck! The lock is more to ensure it doesn't come out when towing, rather than a security feature.
If there are scroats around, you might like to get one of RLD's spare wheel guards before your 5th wheel joins the tow bar.

Ray is talking about making sure the original lock backing plate cannot be bypassed by an opportunist thief.

It sounds like a good idea and should stop these little scrotes, but if your key stops working/seizes (as many do), you really will be Censored Laughing
