interior light & Tailgate mailfunction
Hi there does anyone know where i can buy the middle area of the D3 light unit, it's the one above the second row of seats. The reason being when i open car with key fob, the middle lights do not illuminate like they used to. My car is in the main dealer with mailfunctioned tailgate ( the second time in 6 months) which is being repaired and i asked them to check the light unit. It needs reoplacing i've been told supplied and fitted £230.00 i told them to leave it. The tailgate switch unit is £250.00 supplied and fitted and last time warranty direct covered the charge (£50.00 excess) but the garage have told me it's a different problem to last time. Thanks

Is your car still under warranty - if so get on to LR about the issues with the tail gate. Have they explained what the two separate issues are
If it is then the light panel should be covered as well but if not then give Nick a shout by pm - The Large One - and he'll surely give you a better price than that. It'll be a sinch to fit yourself.A happy childhood ... is the worst possible preparation for life.

I have extended warranty with warranty direct, they told me the light unit will not be covered. The tailgate problem should be but just waiting confirmation i cant see them saying no but i need to pay the first £50.00. How do i get in touch with The Large One please

Got a picture of the rear of the unit which may give you a clue of how it comes out, mine is with rear seat air con which is the larger black unit on the right of the pic.
