Replacement of Drivers door mirror and removing door panel. |
|
Did follow this very useful instruction and found the following.
The door panel came off very easy however the trim for the (pull) door handle cover is very delicate and although I thought I was careful I still snapped the clip nearest the door hinge but it still appears ok when refitted.
The door lever cable attached to the handle has very little play/length and when door panel was removed the mechanism came off with only enough room for my hand between the door and panel to refit with help from my wife.
Three small 7mm (hex head) bolts secure the mirror of two were very rusty and even after wd40 still snapped. Make sure you have a few spare spare.
Apart from this it took about an hour. Very helpfull guide and thanks very much. Graham

Great advice and diagrams, helped me change my mirror with relative ease.
LR could have made it easier by having the tweeter housing separate from the door card so not necessitating removal of the whole door card.
