Disco 3's not the only one !!!
I was talking today with a mate who is also a mechanic telling him about the poor brakes problem i:e the oil in the servo. He works in a local council garage, as soon as I told him about the oil in the servo he told me that they have the same problem on both Citreon and Peugeot vans and that there being recalled. Could it be that both these manufactures are suppled with the same vacuum pump as that fitted to Disco 3. I read on a thread the other day that some on here as had this problem on an 07 D3, just how many cars are affected ???
Just a thought what system is used on D4 ?? are they going to have the same fault ???
P.S. my car goes in on Thursday to be checked already checked it myself and there is oil in the vacuum pipe but they have to check it as well.Just as an aside when I booked the car in they checked for any recalls, turns out it needs the wiring behind the steering wheel checking. The wires cut through and you loose cruise control something you read alot on the forum, my cars an 05 by the way so might be worth checking even though like my car the warrany ran out some time ago .

Quite possible, bearing in mind that the TdV6 was developed in conjunction with Peugeot ...Regards,

Hi Jonny, as an independant we deal with the local main dealer all the time but our car is going in to be checked and then we'll take it from there.
Maybe with more people talking about contacting VOSA L/R are starting to take note ?? The thing is as it standes even if the repairs/mods are done it doesn't sound like its going to stop it happening again...
