Yep - (having seen it on the Metropolis photos on this thread) chrome trim on the tailgate for me next I think...
Mrs N doesn't spot the gently upwards creeping expenditure that way... Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

You are becoming a closet rrsport man aren't you Steve 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021
aesthetics are indeed a very funny thing. Why do we know flock wall paper is grim. Why is it that beige cars are naff. Why is it that lots of Gold jewellery is equally naff.
As a test on whether something is tasteful, ask yourself would Thomas Crown/James Bond as played by Pierce Brosnan, drive it, buy it, wear it, drink it, etc.
Then ask yourself would Wayne Rooney (or indeed any Pro Footballer for that matter) think something is "cool".
If what you drive, wear, buy, drink falls into the second catagory I am happy to tell you that it is in fact NAFF . If Rooney drove a Disco I think we have just seen the pics.
Horses for courses, I agree with, doesn't stop others ridiculing though.

Fair enough.... look through the various threads around ( to use an americanism) accesorising.... think it puts you in a minority of 'not many'
I bought my Disco3 for it's off road ability first, its capacity second (otherwise TBH, i'd have a RRS ) and it's on road ability third - but I don't think anything less of anyone who has a Disco 3 - or any other vehicle for that matter - for other reasons or needs.... "Chill Winston, Chill.... 8)

I prefer to be true to myself, even at the hazard of incurring the ridicule of others, rather than to be false, and to incur my own abhorrence.

Each to their own but this site is about assisting & uniting D3 owners not ridiculing their choice & personal taste
All true, I do need to chill.
I was just testing the water of the site to see how sensative you all were.
Sorry to cause offence.
But really that car, that interior, I could not stop myself from commenting.
As a Disco owner I feel defensive towards the car. It does not deserve what was done to it.
Anyone else think the car looks a dogs breakfast?
