Careful'ish driving; i.e. making progress but trying not to stomp the throttle and no more than 75mph on m'ways, 50'ish on A roads, etc. gets my diesel auto giving a genuine 30.5mpg. If I drive it with little regard to economy but still not thrashing it it does about 26mpg overall so not huge, huge difference really for the effort.
Spending lot of time from Stratford to Cheltenham down the A46 and often get stuck behind b y tractors who just refuse to move over despite 50 cars/artics welded bumper to bumper behind them. Am then stuck at around 20mph until I hit the Evesham bypass and can go back to 75mph on cruise. On those journeys I often have 37mpg showing on the trip computer and then when I hit the bypass it starts coming down in 1/10th mpg increments with about 34mpg showing by the time I get home.

Weird thing is when the top pic was taken the trip mpg was 35.7 and when the bottom pic was taken the combined range & trip was 662!

Derek, your car has malfunctioned again. It's just that this time you like what you see.
I have no such luck on my RRS. The only thing that moves as fast as the rev counter and speedo going up is the fuel gauge going down. "Range" Rover is probably a name that contravenes the Trade Description Act ... but I love it.
Actually, I still prefer the D3.

It helps to live somewhere flat! I don't and pay for it - literally!
Seem to get about 22 when doing trips around West Yorkshire which is no worse than my old 110 Td5D4 2014
