know there are lots of threads on this but could not find the answers...
MIL's D3 is just on it's 3rd birthday, LR want £800 for thei extended warranty and it wont even cover turbo, of which she's had two already,
so now that tesco finest is no more, what was the general consensus on extending warranty? who is the new tesco?
thanks for all help in advance.. i know i should have paid more attention in class

Have a look at Warrant Direct threads, £550 for 13 months, turbo, airbags & emissions, wear & tear from day one if coming straight from a warranty. Seen a few people get payouts from them so fingers crossed. Got 2 policies lined up for when Tesco finishes in April. Honda dogs say "We love our Jazz coz it never breaks down. We leave that to the Landy Rovers."

warranty Direct. Im with them. I got a pay out. depends on your miles on the car. They only pay a % of parts and only pay 90 pound labour. I had a steering shaft done. cost just over 200 quid and got 123 quid back from WD. I paid £600 for the cover. for me so far it aint being worth it. The car had EGR's and a turbo fitted by the garage I bought it from. the only thing it would help would be major breakdown. Bet that wont happen while covered though. Current:
05 HSE TDV6 silver,
Puma for SWMBO
Past: but not forgotten
2 TD5 disco2's
1 200tdi disco1
1 300tdi disco1 commercial Off roader with a rather large spec, ARB's and big travel suspension to name a few.
Pajero SWB 2.8 for off road playdays

Got "no betterment", no reduction because of mileage. It's really for a major component going bang. There have been far too many stories of engines letting go to not have cover for major items. I look at it as a form of insurance for the big ticket items, though if it pays smaller stuff that's a bonus. Honda dogs say "We love our Jazz coz it never breaks down. We leave that to the Landy Rovers."

Car Care Plan are the same peeps that do LR & Tesco (til they finish) so all LER stealers are set up to deal with them. Whether they can be arsed doind so is another matter. Can repairs for Hartwell policies only be done at their dealerships?? Honda dogs say "We love our Jazz coz it never breaks down. We leave that to the Landy Rovers."

PM me if you wish to take out a warranty with them, and I'll send you the info. All cash back can go to the site and/or charity (H4H or Macmillan)
