Which insurance to go for?
Hi Guys,
My insurance is due for renewal shortly and I think I should change provider. I am currently with Direct Line, but I think I need something more D3 specific i.e. something that will cover off road etc.
The two I am thinking of looking into are Adrian Flux and NFU. Is there anyone else I should look at?
Anyone have any good or bad comments about any insurers?
Thanks in advanceD3 HSE MY05 Auto

Just renewed with LR Insurance, much cheapness for 2 cars, happy with mods & offroad cover, good customer services and most importantly cover Tunisia. However that's "old" LR Ins with RSA, new business changed to company never heard of so no idea what they are like, they don't cover Tunisia so no good for annual beer & sand trip!

Does Direct Line do off road cover??????
For you Stu, I certainly would ensure you have OFF ROAD cover as you do use the D3 in that way. It just aint worth the risk TBH, unless you want an UNCOVERED vehicle, remembering these Byways are still unsurfaced roads and you still need adequate cover BY LAW

Initially, I'd say NFU for sure but ask me again in a week or three when/if I get a satisfactory outcome to my present claim.

Yeah I might wait until I hear how you get on Clive. I still can't believe it.
I hope it all works out. I once did the cambelt on a new Ford Puma and Ford refused to pay, they wanted 4k for a new engine, made me physically sick. If you do get it back and want a team of cleaners to help get it sorted then let me know I'd be very happy to put some elbow grease in. I suspect it will all get sorted through NFU though.D3 HSE MY05 Auto

When I had a mishap and had to give them an accident location ...I just gave LRI a Google Earth co-ordinates link to the offending tree in the forest It pays to be fully covered 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Yes Del but 'Slippy Dicks' is not really the name I would have cut the ribbon for
Thankfully, I had the NCD protected ...but we made up ...I went and gave the poor thing a big hug after 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

NFU are always woth gettinbg a quite from. I have found them especially good if you have more than one vehicle with them.
