LR will only progress from their L1 and as we have no proof of what we did officially, they would only start from the beginning. Also it is business for them although it has no legal credibility. I believe Vince has some courses, but again in the 4x4 side nothing has value yet, unless you have an ADI and Fleet Trainer certificates, like myself, it just adds a little credibility then..

Just done my level 1 at Ashford and had a great day. Instructor clearly very impressed by D3 and so was I
Learnt a few things about my D3 I didn't know - has anyone tried using the handbrake emergency stop? Tried it on a piece on deserted road - very impressive don't know if I would have presence of mind to do in in an emergency though
Now looking for a non damaging area in Kent to try out mine - any ideas anyone?D3 TDV6 HSE Java Black with black leather

RLD.
I've got my Level 1 (LRE + upgrade) booked for Sunday 15th October at Skipton. It would/will be sooner if someone else books a Level 1 in a Manual Disco 3 before then and I can share their car with them.
Have you done the Level 1 or just the LRE 1/2 day, if not will you be booking yours in the next month or so? Coffeecup

Coffeecup, we are booked in at Skipton on Sunday 11th September at 1pm but afraid we are using an auto. I didn't upgrade from the standard LR Experience freebie - should I do so ? When I rang the centre I didn't really get a chance to work out what the various other packages were (but they all sounded quite expensive). Its actually my wife's car so I think she'll probably be doing the course not me. I've done a lot of offroading as a hobby and for work already - so I think she'll get more out of it than I would. I also suspect after half a day she will have had enough.....Disco 4 TDV6HSE

Coffeecup Idid the up grade to level 1 I will do the next in november the wether will be better then It will be in ther 110 as the disco is to expensive to repair or they may let me do it in the disco.Home of RLD Hidden winch mounts Spare wheel Locks Trailer Body Fabrication ray@rld-tech.co.uk D3/4 sump plates MY 14 sump plates and the Discovery Sport wheel protectors Discovery 5 wheel locks

I'm interested- got the voucher last week and Skipton's probably as close to Sheffield as any of the other centres.
Are you looking to do it weekend or weekday? Upgrade to the full day (apparently costs an extra £80 which the board members recommend)?
Mine will be a manual too- are they really that rare?Discovery 3 tdv6 7 seat Buckingham Blue
