i had the same happen to me on my way back from billing and it turned out to a be a mass air flow sensor £90 part, no fault codes no warning light no smoke just very very slow on take off

Frank Ogg's guy did suggest that but didn't change it speculatively due to price tag. He did suggest I knicked he one of SWMBO's car if it did it again to see if it was the faulty bit. Didn't tell swmbo that though.
