Do you know which firm provides recovery /breakdown assistance for WD?
According to that web page it's...

Our policies are operated by AXA Assistance on behalf of Warranty Direct and underwritten by Inter Partner Assistance (part of AXA, the worldwide insurance group).

It's in the "airbags & emissions" section ISTR, I did check that.

It's an option that is thrown in as a freebie.

Took my policy out last week,
07 XS auto with 68k @ time of call, Extra Care warr will start when LR one runs out in March, just got to call them with the new mileage,
No excess, no betterment with Air bags and emisions cover @ dealer rates, even got them to specify EPB units, on a running policy upto 130k maximum mileage for £61 per month,
Not as cheap as some on here but with the wear and tear cover better than the Landrover select policy,
their orignal quote was £90 per month , so it is worth waiting for them to call you back at least twice!

For roadside recovery and breakdown cover, it might be worth checking if you get it with your bank account. I get Green Flag with mine (albeit, I pay an annual fee for the account).Bonatti Grey HSE 2.7TDV6

Just check what kind of cover you get free via your bank account. The ones I looked at only give you recovery to your nearest repairer, which you get with free with the LuxuryCare cover from WD (not sure about Extracare). The surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that none of it has tried to contact us yet.

I had a WD warranty when my LR one expired.
Found it absoloutely useless.
Any claim I was attempting to make was being rejected by "redundant 60yr old ex engineers with a nasally Surrey 'know it all' accent"
In the end I've plumped for a cheap £17 per month AA warranty and put a pot of cash aside for service/repair.
Theory is, if one doesn't cover it, the other will.
Been working well for the last two years for me ...... always on the road less travelled 🚧

Just to let you know how I got on as well.
£550 for Extra care, 13 months cover, emissions & airbags, paid over 4 months int free. Wouldn't budge at all on excess or immediate wear and tear.
A real battle on the phone to get this though. I assume that they have had a flood of D3 policies and have lost their nerve!
A real funny way of doing business. They have nearly halved my initial online quote. Surely they would do better if they gave a reasonable price and stuck to it.
Lets hope the cover is as good as they say it is. 13 months cover for my current D3 might just give me peace of mind until I can get that second hand D4 when you early adopters have got bored with them. So somebody look after a nice XS in black please....... Will want it for the 13th May 2011!

Haven't got access to my policy doc at the moment but I'm sure that suspension is covered under the Extra Care policy?Clubs Mantec, Tasmods, LEDS, AT2s on 18s, Maxxis Bighorns on 17s, Remote FBH, BAS. ReMap, BSS., RLD Personalised SWP., Safari Snorkel, Faultmate, Three Musketeers & MUD
