About to have a Basil Fawlty moment.....

Aaaaarrrrrrgggggghhhhhhhhh !!!

Bl**dy drivers side wiper blade has taken to hitting the a-pillar and making the most irritating clip - clip - clip - clip noise possible. No idea why this has suddenly started, car got cleaned today but can't imagine how thats changed anything but its like Chinese Water Torture.......

Is there any adjustment on the base of the wiper arm/motor I should take a look at ? Or just give it a good beating with a tree branch ala 'Basil" ?

Ross

It's probably come loose and moved on the spline, open the bonnet, move it back and tighten the nut Thumbs Up

Thanks Slimer.

Was going to have a fiddle around tomorrow but wanted to see if there was any other kind of common issue.

Probably not the dealers fault, have you been clearing large amounts of snow from your windscreen with them or had frozen snow underneath?
Happened to me after a large chunk slid off a tree onto the roof and down the screen, the wiper struggled to shift it, the remainder ended up getting pushed down and compressed preventing the wiper from going all the way down.

Not really, probably just a loose spindle nut, just wanted to check if there was anything known I should be aware of.

And lets just say my new ownership/dealer expectations havn't quite been lived up to yet. Hopefully we'll get there though as I love the car, just want to get the minor 'issues' sorted out before they become major...Amazing how some companies attitude changes once the cash has been handed over...anyway that's for another time !

Thanks again

Could just be a worn wiper blade... See if it gets worse when the wipers are on fast setting. If it does, then its the blades
