Just having looked at the title of this thread. I'm not fussed about the tiptronic bit, but is there a box to enable the main switches to work, ie cruise control and stereo control?
As above
Flappy paddles would be nice though

Quite a few of us who originally posted on this thread did indeed get flappy paddles, wrapped in a D4.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

Sadly its not going to happen for me. The D4's are far to nice and tidy to warrant having one, specially with stupid painted bumpers !
I hope Colin's 'dangling carrot' of hope comes off finally this new year. I know the Nanocom launch has been keeping BBS busy...... but we are a restless lot as I am sure he is aware.

Fingers crossed here that Colin has some spare time in the New Year too!
I also have 2 spare complete steering wheels with paddles if anyone is interested....... in anticipation.

What can i say ?
I am of course actutely and painfully aware and even quite embarressed that this side project has been dragging on for so long, kept folks hoping, me more than anyone, but as yet has not yielded something we can supply.
I took on this side project at a point in time when i could easily afford to do so and fully expected it to be relatively quick and simple.
I have tried my best and certainly spent vast amounts of time and money on this.
However we have unfortunately encountered untold and unforseen amounts of problems in attempting this and have also had huge amounts of unforseen and unexpected problems that have required we focus completely more on other things.
After all this side project was only ever going to be something we hoped to provide to folks outside our normal business activities and never something that ever would help pay the bills.
It is now a New Year and I continue to hope and believe that we will somehow find the time to provide this in at least some form.

Hi BBS Spy,
I'm new to this forum and have read through this thread. I also came across your video on YouTube showing how you enabled a D4 steering wheel attached to a D3.
As a recent owner of a 57 plate D3, I was wondering if you had an update on this project and if the conversion kit you were hoping to develop will be available anytime soon.
Many thanks, Fletcher

Colin, if you don't have the time to donate to the project, can you let us know what is involved in getting the D4 switches working? My D3 Build Thread
