Just got round to opening my box from Nick and thought the airbag latching tool would have been in there. Does it come with it, or do we have to bodge a tool for it??

Bodge a tool I'm afraid! I used a coat hanger hook with about 5mm of the straight end bent over at a right angle! 2014 D4 XS

Jobs a good un here
Thanks to all involved along the way from DrM for organising and taking delivery, TLO for being his usual efficient self (brake pads received too ) and everyone for posting their hints and tips on here to help getting the job done. Hardest part was finding a wire coat hanger as Mrs Boy had had a clean out of them a while back. Cheers!!!

Cheers Ad,
Really pleased with it. Got is off flea-bay and was in top nick at a great price IMO. Added the thule bars, the spare wheel and a locking hitch. They do come up from time to time on there but do get a good price. But then the sell-on price will be good too.

Hi Brian,
Just drop Nick a PM (The Large One) and ask. I don't know if he has any more at that price but it's got to be worth asking!

Well got round to fitting mine this morning.
Disconnected battery....check !
Made coffee....check !
Removed airbag with bodge tool.....eventually....check !
remove wheel using 16mm socket (?) .....check !
start to swap over bits...check...oh' hold on the phone switch does not fit.. bugga
ponders what to do
Ah get out the dremmel
carefully mark up new wheel and get ready to cut after 20 mins measure twice cut once method ...check !
start dremmel .... check !
check again...che thinks why not just swap back covers over
10 mins later wheel fitted and all working
Must say it does feel and look nice, fully relating to the Megan Fox comparison.....

and, if you read the note in the box from TLO, he was telling you to do this.
Just waiting to do mine today, but got a delivery scheduled so cann't change it until it arrives!!
Plus D3 is in dealer tomorrow getting new bushes/trackrod end, plus a full four wheel alignment.
Means if I put it on wonky, LR will sort it out with the alignment.
So I MUST get it done today. ...... always on the road less travelled 🚧

I thought mines going to have a hole in the side as I have none of the fancy controls until why don't I change the back over .
When tidying up and proud of my handy work I noticed a note in the box saying to do this
