how is this fixed to the vehicle
and not come off. does it have different mountings as it would need to be a tad more secure than Discovery343's was, and what sort of protection would it afford. ie. would a deer hit at say 80kmh make it fold like a piece of cardboard or would it bounce off with minimal damage to the car
Catweasel, There's a reason it's called a 'Brush Bar'.
I would doubt that it would withstand animal strike at 80kph, but then it's possible that a full bar, like my ARB, would also be bent back onto the car.
At 80kph, I think it may still do the job and prevent radiator damage, allowing you to get home at least.Have a nice day!

Instrument cluster, brush bar, cruise control & tyres
My cruise control was changed with one from a demo model and now works - at least for now! The whole instrument module was replaced to fix the mph problem. Still no joy on the dangerous brush bar! Have just got it back after some idiot ran into the rear at 70kph - while I was stationary at a red light. Took a month to fix while they got the parts etc. Nonetheless, it's nice to have it back in the driveway again.05 Discovery 3 SE TDV6 Chawton White with roof rails, driving lights, steel side protection rails.
