Am I right in thinking that in the D4, the factory fit Bluetooth only works when the radio is on? If this is true has it irked anyone enough to fit a Parrot? Seems to be a rather poor lack of functionality if it won't work with the radio off!
Cheers
Andrew

Eh? I might be wrong but in our D3 the bluetooth will route a mobile call through the car speakers regardless of whether the radio is on or off.

If it works the same as the D3 ( and i cant see why not ) you can have the radio switched off , if you get a call it automatically switches it on ...when finished with the call it shuts it down again G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Radio doesn't have to be on for the Bluetooth to work in mine, either.

I seem to have the same issue as Drive2tractors.
When radio is on, phone (Blackberry Pearl) connects fine, shows bluetooth icon and works as you would expect. When radio is off, phone doesn't connect and icon not lit. When the phone is called it does not come through the speakers without the radio on.
Has anyone got their phone (not touchscreen as GS) to connect without the phone on??
Thanks
Lee

I have the same problem on 2010 D4 commercial XE (ireland) with bluetooth not taking over phone calls unless radio/cd is switched on.
The coloured bluetooth icon does not light unless radio/cd is activated.
It seems like a few people have experienced this. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Mark

My 2011 commercial D4 is the same the radio has to be on for Bluetooth to work, Wiggs my unit is the Nokia one that changes the pairing code when you connect to it. The others all use 2121 could it be a older unit and that's the reason it needs to be on?
I have not got the touch screen in the commercial so didn't think I can upgrade the Bluetooth module? MY18 RRS Autobiography Fuji White

Phone finds the land rover Bluetooth connection. You select connect and the disco LCD display shows enter code #### into handset. Phone asks you to enter code
On my other D4 it's 2121 every time.
If you remember you fitted cruise module and remote heater for me in December and you said it had the Nokia module.

That won't be a pairing code ... Your Phone must have a sim lock or handset lock
There is no updates for the D4 modules yet ...if its got the old Nokia then it can be updated ( it would have be updated out of the car though ) ... But too be honest there won't be any newer software than what's on already on there G4 Gone ...but not forgotten
