The Dark Side beconds
Thinking of moving to the dark side...or even darker side as I don't need the bulk of a D3 any longer and want something a bit sportier. Will need to go off road but only fields and tracks.
I know I'm opening myself up now but what do people think......

One is a car and one a land rover. I have an HSE auto, whilst I prefer my D3 the Fl2 is a great fun car although over short trips not much more economical than my D3.DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone

Although i guess the VW reliability will be better than LR I believe that every human has a finite number of heart-beats. I don't intend to waste any of mine running around doing exercises.

FL2 is a great car just a little lacking on load space with rear seats up.
Try joining the FL2 forum at http://www.freel2.com/forum/

We're currently going through the same discussion at home in order to change my wife's MkV Golf for something a bit bigger and (in her words) 4x4ish. (she misses not driving the D3 every day)
We've considered the Tiguan (neither of us like it), Q5 (too expensive/posh and no 'nearly new' ones anywhere) and the FL2 (as Pelyma says....it's a LR).
At the moment, the FL2 Auto is winning hands down 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE AutoBuckingham Blue 2007 Golf GT DSG

OK - before reading the rest, you've got to cross your heart and hope to die if you laugh.
My missus wanted something else for the school/shopping run as a change from her trusty Scenic - she wanted something a "bit chunky" (and that wasnt me this time ), but still small enough to park in the supermarkets, so we've ended up with a bright orange Suzuki SX4. Its got all the looks of a small 4x4, whilst still being easy to blat around town/park/fill with kids/shopping. Its a bloody Tonka toy. Looks a bit different, seems to go quite well when I've driven it.
OK - you can laugh now
