Problem with wind

I know it was particularly blowy today but driving along a motorway at 70 mph I didn't expect the nearside front door pillar trim to blow off! The noise nearly scared me sensless and looking at the trim sticking out at a jaunty angle I was scared I was going to lose it completely before I could get off the motorway and stop.

All tapped back into place ok and no damage done that I can see so far but anyone else seen anything similar? Very strange!

On a serious note - have you have a winscreen replaced - if so it's probably a case of them breaking the clips when they refitted the trim - I seem to remember that happening to another member earlier this year.

Mmm interesting. We have had a new windscreen but not for a year or so but I guess not had winds like this for a while. Naturally worried if it will happen again. Thanks for the tip; I'll investigate further tomorrow. Cheers

MrH is spot on ...this is a fairly common occurrence if the windscreen has been fiidled with Thumbs Up
